The college boasts an active Career Guidance & Placement Cell, dedicated to unveiling career opportunities for its students and preparing them to thrive in the competitive professional world. The cell holds regular meetings with students from various departments to enlighten them about diverse opportunities available within their disciplines and beyond. Students are encouraged to approach cell members individually for career guidance or information on further studies after graduation. Additionally, the cell is planning to conduct workshops on personality development and communication skills soon. By inviting professionals from different fields, the cell aids students in setting and achieving their career goals.

Objectives

The Career Guidance & Placement Cell plays a pivotal role in steering students towards successful career paths. The key objectives of the cell include:

Create Awareness: The primary aim is to make students aware of the myriad career options available, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future.
Guidance and Exploration: The cell offers guidance on various career options throughout students' academic journeys, helping them explore different fields and understand potential career trajectories.
Educational Planning: Assists in educational planning by advising on course selection, academic requirements, and additional certifications or training to enhance employability.
Identify and Develop Abilities: Focuses on identifying and nurturing students' abilities and interests, recognizing strengths, and addressing weaknesses. Emphasis is also placed on developing soft skills, such as communication abilities.
Entrepreneurship Guidance: Provides support and resources for students interested in entrepreneurship, including business plan development, funding opportunities, startup incubation programs, and mentorship from successful entrepreneurs.

Functions

The Career Guidance & Placement Cell actively organizes seminars, career counselling sessions, and workshops to educate students about higher education and career opportunities. This is achieved through internal efforts by committee members and collaborations with external career agencies and expert resource persons. The cell also facilitates one-on-one discussions between teachers and students at least once a year to identify and foster students’ abilities and interests. Through these functions, the cell ensures that students receive comprehensive support in navigating their career paths.
